Starbucks starts using names on coffee cups


I just saw an advert for Starbucks which relates to a recent post I wrote about social media and how business forgets some elements of transactions and interaction (see post here).

So as of tomorrow, in the UK, Starbucks will be writing the name of each customer on the coffee cup they order. The advert explains that they see you as more than a coffee type - instead they ask you to introduce yourself and for tomorrow anyway, they will give you a free cup of coffee.

That's the second change for Starbucks
